This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills. Most of our conversations happen off site in our own chat room, which we have a link posted above in the toggled section, until then if you have any questions go ahead and post them in the CBOX, we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Have fun looking around, we hope to meet you soon!

A girl can do what she wants to do and that's what I'm gonna do
An' I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
Never said I wanted to improve my station

An' I'm only doin' good when I'm havin' fun An' I don't have to please no one
I don't give a damn'bout my reputation
I've never been afraid of any deviation
"Are you sure we are allowed in here Tori? Wont your parents get upset?" Kathy looked around as if her parents would pop out at them at any moment with a knife or a camera, wearing some ridiculous outfit to scare them.
Victoria rolled her eyes and shook her head, "Please, when was the last time you saw them care about anything involving me?" she wasn't even sure about the last time she saw her parents in the same room in their house. The last conversation she had with her mother was a phone call to let her know they were about to get on a flight for Paris and she'd been wired some money.
Her parents didn't care about her at all, she learned a long time ago they only used her for appearances to look good; like a good wholesome family that everyone on the outside thought they were. Her close friends knew her real nature, she was the poster child for being two faced; teachers, and parents, and those of authority knew her as the sweet, innocent child of a congressman and CEO mother. However, when she lets you in her inner circle, you learn shes a horrible person who doesn't care who she hurts as long as it's not her.
"But it's your dads office, isn't always locked when he's away?" Kathy looked behind her and noticed Wendy carrying Victoria's cleaned laundry up to her room. "Wont she tell on us?" she whispered, not wanting to draw attention to the two of them, but they were probably already spotted.
Victoria turned to Kathy and plastered on the biggest and most fake smile she could on her face. "Wendy's a sweetheart, she would never tattle on me," She eyed Wendy as the woman took the last few steps; Wendy knew better than to cross Victoria. Several employees of the Taplin family had been fired because of her.
"Stop being a little bitch and help me find my birth certificate or else I'll fail the stupid family assignment." Victoria was already annoyed that she had to do the work of this assignment instead of having a nerd do it for her. Instead she had to go searching her fathers file cabinet in hopes she'd find her birth certificate and search her stupid family tree.
Kathy was hesitant to do anything but stand there, she looked behind her one more time before following Victoria into the office. She didn't touch anything right away, but once she saw Victoria start shifting through the files.
At first Victoria and Kathy didn't find much besides her mothers business information or stuff on her dads campaign. Until, that is, she stumbled upon a file with her name on it. "Got it, this must be it." She smiled happily, seeing an A on her assignment already.
She pulled the file and started shifting through it. She didn't find anything of interest in the beginning; vaccine records, baby teeth, her surgery for tubes in her ears when she was young. The usual stuff you might find in many kinds files. It started getting weirder when she noticed there were invoices not a doctors office, but to a couple. A large sum of money was sent three times to this couple and the reason given was labeled 'Baby'. She frowned as she flipped to the last piece of paper and her whole body froze as she read over it, she paled as she read it again, unable to comprehend what she was reading.
"What did you find?" Kathy asked as she walked over to stand next to Victoria. She tried looking over her shoulder, but Victoria hid the next piece of paper from her.
"Yeah. I found what I needed." She swallowed the lump in her throat, as she held the file tightly in her hand. "Um, I'm suddenly not feeling well, just go home."she pushed past Kathy and headed towards the stairs to hide in her room and look over what she had just found further.
"What about your project? I thought you wanted help?"
"I said go!" Victoria yelled as she stomped up the stairs, clutching the file to her chest.
She didn't make sure Kathy left her house or not, she figured she would leave or else just be standing there like an idiot. Once she was safely in her room after kicking Wendy out despite her clothes not completely put away, she opened the file again. She skipped the first part with the vaccines and surgery and everything and went straight to the invoices. She looked them over again before picking up the piece of paper that had made her kick Kathy out.
Her Birth certificate wasn't signed by her parents, and it didn't have Victoria as her name at all.
She was born to a different couple with the name Sandy. And the couples name were the same ones on the invoices labeled baby. She'd been sold to her current parents for a large amount of money.
"So, no one wants me." She felt the tears on her cheeks before she realized she was actually crying, and pulled her legs up to her chest, feeling completely alone.

“Why do you even bother, you’re not even that great.” Pierce jeered as he rolled his eyes, reading over yet another script for a movie he was hoping to star in, even if it was a small role.
Luca continued to strum on the electric guitar as he sat in the seat across from him. “I’m not even trying, that’s why it sounds terrible.” He made a face and rolled his own eyes as he watched the people walk back and forth in front of the café. He had asked his brother to join him in hopes that he would support him, but now he was regretting it.
“I guess I’ll have to see when you step up to play. And get booed off.” Pierce chuckled as he turned the page to the script.
Luca rolled his eyes and stood up, heading over to the open-air stage when his name was called. He plugged in his electric guitar into the amp and turned to the audience. “Hi, name’s Luca, and I’m about to play an original song I call ‘Nobody Cares.’” He chuckled before the lights dimmed and the music started.
The sounds of a guitar splitting through the air seemed to make the entire place electrified as Luca strummed a killer guitar solo. Several minutes later he ended the song, and the entire outside space broke out in a cheer.
Luca took a bow, waving to the crowd before unplugging his guitar and stepping off towards his open mouth brother, too stunned to speak. “That’s what I thought.” He smirked, sitting back down into the seat just as two people he recognized immediately walked over to him. Riell and Aaron Candace, two people Luca and Pierce fairly knew, but only because their parents ran in similar circles. He nodded to the two of them, wondering what they were doing there and why they looked like they were star struck.
“Hey, want to be in a band?” Riell smirked, hands on her hips as Aaron stood next to her with his hands in his pocket, a smile playing on his lips.

"Look, he's stirring." Gunner heard his mother familiar voice as he stirred in his sleep. He was sure it wasn't morning already, and why would his mom be watching him sleep? In his mind he frowned as his body started to slowly wake up. He heard beeping, which he didn't recognize, and soft murmurs from other people in his room.
'Whats going on?' He thought he was dreaming still, but he was sure the last place he had been was at the rodeo, riding Queen Bee in the roping contest. He felt his whole body grow cold as his eyes flickered open and close, the bright lights of the hospital room making it hard to actually keep them open.
"He's awake ma!" He felt a warm hand on his forearm and knew Jolene had grabbed onto him. He turned to face her, squinting to see if she was there, of was he dreaming. If he was dreaming, he wouldn't dream Jolene or his mother being in the room with him; his dreams consisted of camping, riding, fishing, and maybe a girl.
"Where am I?" He finally asked, as his eyes adjusted to the bright lights and noticed he wasn't in his room, but a hospital room instead. It didn't make sense, he should be waking up in his own room, celebrating the night before after the rodeo where he and Jolene had won.
"Honey, you're in the hospital. You and Queen Bee..... Well. There was a little accident." He heard the sad concern in his mothers voice and knew it was much more than a little accident. He tried to remember what happened, but the last thing he could bring up, was racing Queen Bee after the steer, twirling his lariat around in the air.
"What happened?"he turned to his mother, who was on the other side of him. He noted his dad at the end of the bed with his hands in his pockets. When his mother turned her head to the side, eyeing where his legs were, he turned to his sister. Her red and puffy eyes were hard to miss as she shook her head. "Is someone going to tell me what's going on?" he tried to sit up and found he couldn't feel his right leg.
He stared down at the white bed sheet, now noting there was only one lump where his left leg was, and nothing where his right leg was. he looked up to his dad, he could count on him to tell him what happened. His dad was that old style cowboy that was rough and tended to not show any feelings, but even his dad seemed a little teary eyed and he wasn't sure what was going on.
"Gun, you and Queen Bee had a great run, until... Until...." Jolene's bottom lip trembled, and he took her hand in his. He already knew what she was trying to say; he and Queen Bee had an accident, as his mother had stated, and both he and Queen Bee went down. He could already guess what happened. He got trapped under Queen Bee, and due to her weight, his leg was broken beyond repair.
He could only imagine what happened to Queen Bee, and knew with all the tears, it meant she was gone. He nodded his head feeling the tears sting his eyes as he mourned the loss of the beloved horse that had been both Jolene and his riding partner. His stubborn side forced the tears to stay at bay however, and he was patient enough to keep from growing angry at himself for being so stupid.
He lost a beloved family member to win some stupid belt buckle. He wasn't sure he'd ever compete again.

They say a good love is one that sits you down, gives you a drink of water, and pats you on top of the head But that's something a brother would do and that's where Jolene has found herself Stuck from being like a sister and nothing more
"Jojo, why haven't you admitted your feelings for Reed yet? He's like your best friend."
Jolene rolled over onto her back as she also rolled her eyes at her friend, Harley, for suggest a thing. She was nothing but an awkward, box shaped, wearing braces, and flat chested girl; what guy would even look her way? She's had a crush on Reed ever since they were children. Her mother reminds her, and him to her embarrassment, how she used to chase him around the backyard trying to kiss him. Ever since then, Jolene pretended to be grossed out, claim he was like a brother, and that she was little and didn't know better.
"Because Harley, look at me! I don't think Reed sees me as anything but a sister." She pouted, not wanting to even think that Reed thought of her that way. But she didn't let that thought make her sad. "And besides, I heard he likes someone else." though that was just a rumor, part of her hoped it was true, and that she was the one he liked.
Harley crossed her legs and put her face into her hands, "Can we ride Queen Bee?" She asked, not wanting to sit around her friends room complaining about boys not liking them or knowing they liked them, without them saying anything about it.
Jolene rolled back onto her stomach and sat up, "Yeah we can, but this is the last day," she slipped off her bed and headed for the hallway. "Mom and dad say she'll get pregnant tomorrow." she smiled brightly. Mom and dad had promised her the foal that was produced by Queen Bee. She'd be able to raise it, train it, and race it when it was old enough.
"Awww, a baby horse!" Harley squealed as the two little girls rushed downstairs. They were both stopped at the bottom of the stairs by Jolene's mom.
"Girls, slow down No need to rush."She said holding something behind her back that made Jolene fear what she was hiding. "Now, Jolene. I have a surprise for you." She was smiling with a tease on her lips as she shimmed a little at the secret she was holding behind her. Jolene could see bits of fabric poking out between her moms legs and knew it meant.
"No mom, I don't want to do another chance to dress up like a clown and march down a runway for idiots."Jolene said sarcastically, begging her mom through her eyes not to put her through the pain of hair, makeup, duct tape where it should be. "I never win!" She reminded her mother why they had stopped doing pageants in the first place, though now it seems, her mother had not listened.
"Come on, it'll be fun," Her mother pulled out the maroon dress she had been hiding behind her back. Jolene grimaced at the sight, even if the color was gorgeous and as her mom held it up, she couldn't help imagine seeing Reed's face if he ever saw her in it."And maybe, that Reed boy will see you in it." Jolene felt her face turn completely red, wondering how her mother knew that's what she was thinking about. Jolene whipped her head around and made sure no one was listening.
"Mom! Don't lie like that!" She tried to lie, but she was sure her face was flushed with heat. She was thankful that he wasn't around, but she knew if her brother was home the Malcolm boys were there too.
"Harley and I are going to ride Queen Bee, I don't want to talk about this." Jolene grabbed her friends hand and dragged her towards the back door, hearing her mother call out behind her that she was signed up whether she liked it or not.
"You're mom aint wrong you know." Harley pointed out the obvious. She knew if she did the pageant she would practice and have to wear the dress and possibly have Reed see her in the house wearing it. There was also the possibility that he'd show up to the pageant to cheer her on. But she knew she wasn't good enough and wouldn't win and that was embarrassing to think about Reed seeing her lose.
"Shut up Harley." Jolene sneered at her as she let go of her friends hand and made their way to the barn.
The thought of Reed ever knowing she liked him, terrified her the most.

“So, should we get started on the project?” Stacy asked as she held the door open for Kyle. The house sounded empty, thinking her mother should have been home already. She wasn’t going to pass up on this chance though as she grabbed Kyle by the wrist and dragged him towards her room.
Kyle chuckled nervously as she dragged him up the stairs. “Are... Are you sure? Wouldn’t your mom get upset?” he wiggled his eyebrows and looked around as if her mom was going to just appear out of nowhere.
“Seems that my mom isn’t home yet.” Stacy bit her lower lip, thinking he was wiggling his eyebrows to suggest that he was thinking the same thing she was. They could make out until her mom got home, pretend they were working on the project. To say she had a little crush on Kyle was an understatement.
“Oh… Um. Okay.” Kyle shrugged his shoulders. Stacy was of course oblivious to the fact that he seemed disappointed by this fact. She thought he was just a little shy and nervous to be alone with her. They reached the top of the stairs, and she took a right, though stopped when she heard giggling from her mother’s room.
So, she was home, but it sounded like she brought another guy home. Ever since her parents split her mother was dating a lot of different guys, though never had them over more than once. Stacy rolled her eyes as she tried to pass her mothers room without trying to think about what they were doing, but Kyle pulled away from her grasp.
“Is that your mom?” Kyle’s mouth dropped open as he stared at the partially opened door to her mother’s room. He took a step towards the gap, though Stacy grabbed him by the wrist.
“Ew gross, why are you watching.” She exclaimed as she started dragging him to her room once more, determined to make out with him even if her mom was home. She was preoccupied anyways.
“All the guys at school say how hot she is. I just wanted to see for myself.” Kyle pulled from her grasp as he shrugged his shoulders. He walked back towards her mom’s bedroom door to try and steal another peek.
Stacy felt her heart crack slightly at his words, she suddenly realized he wasn’t here for her. He didn’t show interest in being her partner for a project to spend time with her. He didn’t want to even be her friend or much more. He wanted to see just how hot her mom really was. She couldn’t take it anymore.
“GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!” She screamed, causing Kyle to jump and then race for the stairs. He reached the bottom just as her mother and her latest boy toy came out to investigate.
Stacy just stared at her mom who turned to look at her, giving her a questioning glance to see what was wrong, but only saw that her daughter was crying and a boy running away.
“Stacy what happened?” She said, pushing her boytoy back into her room and closing the door. She stepped towards her daughter and tried to wrap her arms around her. “What did he do? Did he make you cry?” she asked, brushing a piece of Stacy’s hair out of her face.
Stacy looked up at her mother’s face and sighed. It wasn’t her mom’s fault that she was so gorgeous. She nodded her head before wrapping her arms around the only person who didn’t care that she wasn’t pretty enough. “I hate boys.” She said, though she knew she was lying to herself.
“Fuck. It’s definitely positive.” Cynthia stepped out of the bathroom holding a pink pregnancy test in her hand as she stared down at the two little pink lines that became visible. There were multiple pregnancy tests were strewn about the bathroom counter, all giving the same results: positive.
“My parents are going to kill me.” She said, not even thinking about how this was going to change her future. She could kiss college goodbye, possibly.
“You could… You know.” Cynthia’s cousin, Miranda made elaborate hand motions for what she assumed meant get an abortion. It wasn’t illegal to do, just frowned upon by many, and by many, it was a lot.
Cynthia shook her head, though she hated that she had thought about it for a split second. She put her hands on her belly and sighed. She didn’t even know who the father was, but she hadn’t told Miranda that little tid bit yet. “No… I… I want to be a mother.” She always wanted to be a mom, she just didn’t expect it to be so soon.
Miranda shrugged her shoulders and sat back on the bed. “Have you told Rick yet?”
Cynthia’s stomach lurched and she raced into the bathroom to vomit. It wasn’t morning sickness, it was the fear of what would happen if she were to tell Rick she was pregnant. She had to tell David too, and that was even worse in her mind. “It um.. It might not be Ricks.” She finally admitted to Miranda as she flushed the toilet. She turned on the sink to wash her face and rinse out her mouth, but she was planning to take her sweet time. Her cousin had other plans however, and practically leapt off the bed and came crashing into the bathroom, hitting the door and grabbing onto the counter.
“Excuse me, what?”
Cynthia sighed before turning to her best friend. “I’ve been seeing someone on the side.” She admitted, feeling her cheeks flush with heat as she thought about David.
“Who!” Her cousin exclaimed, standing on the balls of her feet with excitement.
It surprised Cynthia that she wasn’t the least bit concerned that her cousin was cheating on Rick, but there was something fun and exciting about gossip of any kind. She bit her lower lip as she debated on telling her cousin, worried that her blabber mouth would spread it all around the school.
Miranda rolled her eyes and held out her pinky finger to her cousin, “I pinky swear not to tell anyone. Not a soul. And if I do tell, you can sew buttons into my eyes like in Coraline.”
Cynthia eyed her cousin but smirked when she mentioned their favorite movie. She sighed and finished off the swear by intertwining her pinky with hers. “Fine. I better not hear of this. Ever,” she wasn’t going to really sew buttons into her cousins’ eyes, but she wouldn’t trust her ever again. “It’s. David. David Hiraga.” She winced, waiting for Miranda to laugh, make fun of her, or ask if she was joking.
Miranda blinked her eyes a few times as she studied her cousin. “David.. Really?”
Cynthia only nodded her head as she turned her attention to the pregnancy tests on the counter. “I don’t know how, but... I really like him.” Thoughts of the two of them together flashed through her mind, even though they met in secret, it felt special and sweet. He’d often bring her little origami animals with notes inside, or a random flower he found on his walk over. Her smile grew large at the thought of the two of them being parents together.
“Pregnant by a nerd.”
It was like those words shattered her entire world. She was already going to be disappointing her parents by getting pregnant at sixteen. She’d most likely be a little outcasted at school. But if it was Rick’s baby, she’d have a chance to stay at least in the inner circle, even if it was on the sidelines. She thought of David, about all those dreams he spoke about, what he wanted to do when they graduated. A baby would just, hold him back. Cynthia couldn’t force him to give that all up for a baby that might not be his.
“It’s Ricks, I’m sure of it.” Cynthia said with confidence, though it was hard to look at herself in the mirror before her.

“Well, so far there isn’t anything that is concerning to me,” Principal Eva spoke as she looked over Gwen’s folder and resume that sat on the desk before her. Gwen was wringing her hands like crazy but kept her smile on her face, so it wasn’t obvious that she was nervous. “I think we can find you a place to teach here. Is there anything else I need to know?” she looked to Gwen with such a bright happy face expecting nothing and Gwen felt like she was about to throw a cannon ball into serene face.
“There is a couple of things I need to inform you of,” Gwen took a deep breath before letting it out slowly. “I used to be a drug addict. I have been clean for seven years and plan on staying that way.” She wasn’t worried about relapsing. She had a reason to live and that was Lottie. Everyday when she thought the world was harsh or cruel or too much, she thought of her daughter and how she didn’t want her child going through what she did living in foster care.
It was hard to tell what kind of look Eva held on her face at the information, but Gwen knew it was better to be up front about her past rather than keep it hidden when it came to a job. A lot of employers appreciated the truth even if they didn’t end up hiring you. “Well, that’s okay,” Eva said softly as she smiled towards Gwen. “I feel like your past mistakes could be an eye opener for some students.” She had informed Gwent that several students did have an issue with drugs and drinking, they just weren’t able to catch them in the act.
“Well, that’s what I want to do. I want to make a difference for kids to make the right choices.” Gwen wasn’t even sure where she’d be if she had made the right choices. Though, it didn’t help that all her life she lived in different houses with different families. Some were great and some were terrible. She got into alcohol because one of the foster families abused her, drinking had held numb the pain whenever they beat her. She got into drugs when she finally made friends at school, and she kept it up for fear of losing the only people she thought were her family.
She wished she realized sooner that they weren’t anyone she should keep in her life. Now she had her own little family with Lottie, even if she didn’t have full custody yet.
“Welcome aboard Gwen, very excited to have you working with us.” She smiled and held out her hand to Gwen.
Gwen shook hands with Eva, hoping this was the next step to showing that she could take care of Lottie all on her own. A full-time job could be checked off.

I know I'm always like
Telling everybody, "You don't gotta be a victim
Life ain't always fair, but hell is living in resentment
Choose redemption, your happy ending's up to you"
Had a boogieman under my bed Putting crazy thoughts inside my head
Blake swallowed the lump in his throat. He and Bobby had gone to see their grandfather at his bakery despite being told to stay away.
He looked over at his brother who was happily stuffing his face with a chocolate cupcake, knowing they’d get in trouble if their father saw crumbs on their face. “Wipe your face before we get home.” He told Bobby, who nodded, knowing the seriousness of what might happen if their father found out. Bobby disliked his father, he loved him because he was family, but his father told them baking was for women to do and that they were going to be mechanics like him, to take on the family business. But Bobby and him had found joy in baking with their grandfather, and had wanted to do the same. His father threatened to beat them if he ever found out they’d gone to bake again.
He let Bobby run ahead of him, slowing down when he saw their fathers truck in the driveway. He had hoped he wouldn’t be home yet, but he guessed he finished work early or they had stayed out later than they thought. He watched Bobby enter the house and followed after him, but he felt a strong hand on his shoulder stopping him.
“Blake, I need to speak with you.” His fathers voice was low and rough. He could tell by his tone he was irritated and the smell of beer on his breath was undeniable.
“Okay.” He let his father lead him from the front door to the garage where his father liked to sit and drink for hours after work. He took a few steps inside and stopped, knowing his father was going to ask where he and his brother had been; he'd lie if needed.
“Now, you’re brother and you didn’t show up at the shop today,” his father moved to the fridge that was kept there and pulled out another beer.
“We had football practice.” That was an easy one to use since they did have football practice, but it had ended early.
“Ah, that’s right,” Blake thought they were in the clear as his dad moved to the lawn chair he sat in, but he stopped. “But you didn’t come straight home did you?” He asked and Blake swallowed the lump in his throat. His mouth felt dry and he was getting nervous.
“No, Bobby hung out with the guys for awhile.” He would at least save Bobby from what fate he was about to receive.
“And where did you go?” He heard the beer can being opened as the world around his started blurring.
“I.... I went... I went to um...” Blake couldn’t admit it, he was too terrified of the repercussions he would receive. He looked to the ground.
“What a shame. Was Bobby there too?” His dad shook his head as he took a sip of his beer. Blake watched the wheels in his fathers mind turn as he waited for Blake to tell the truth.
“No. It was just me.” Blake wouldn’t let his brother get hurt too. He looked up at his dad to prove he was telling the truth, even if he was lying. He couldn't let his father hurt both him and Bobby, he'd protect his brother at all cost, even if he was beat to a pulp.
His dad stared at him for a few minutes before walking over to the button that closed the garage door and placed his beer down. Blake watched the door go down, feeling like it was a metaphor for his own life; his father would beat him in the darkness, and when the door would open again, he’d act like nothing happened. The un would be shinning and he’d be the happy son that wanted to take over the family business like his father wanted.

“Now, in regard to you Ethan, there is two choices,” Martin, laid the papers he’d been reading the Will Ethan’s father wrote up, and looked at him over his glasses. Ethan held his breath and waited to hear the bad news. That he was stuck with his stepmom for the rest of his life, the very thought sent his stomach rolling. “You can either attend boarding school or stay with Marianne.”
It felt like a stab in the heart, even though his heart was basically nothing but mush now. “What about… My mom?” He swallowed the nervous lump in his throat, already knowing the answer. His mom had basically abandoned him for a new life, a new family, a new set of kids.
Martin sighed and shook his head. “She gave up rights to you a long time ago. I’m sorry.” And Ethan believed he was with how sadness had filled his old eyes hiding behind his glasses. He felt at that moment, his stepmother placed her hand on his knee, a feeling he knew all too well now, something he wished he didn’t. “That’s fine, Ethan can stay with me.” Marianne smiled, her ran running up and down his leg as if trying to soothe him, but it only made his blood run cold and his skin clammy with fear.
“No… I’ll. I’ll go to boarding school.” He stared straight ahead into Martin’s face, begging him to read his face, see the horrors in his eyes. His stepmothers hand went from soothing, to gripping his knee, hard. The thought of staying another moment with this woman, had him hoping to follow his dad in death instead. Martin eyes Ethan for a few minutes before nodding his head. “Alright, it’s decided. Now, there’s a few things Ethan and I need to discuss further, so Marianne if you don’t mind stepping out.” He smiled brightly to Ethan’s stepmom as he turned the page of the will, not even givin Marianne another glance.
“Oh. Um. Alright.” The tone of her voice was harsh, and Ethan knew he couldn’t go back home with her. She stood up without arguing and slipped out the door. Once she was gone, Ethan felt like he could breathe freely again, but he could still feel her hand running up and down his leg. It was something he had felt before, and it always made his skin crawl. He wanted to say something, but was too worried that someone would think he was crazy, why wouldn't he want a sexy older woman wanting to sleep with him? No one would think to ask him if he actually liked her at all.
“Now Ethan, lets go over the rest of the will.” Martin cleared his throat and went on with the will, Ethan not really listening anymore as he watched out the window that looked over the parkinglot. He was sure she was out there waiting for him to finish up, drive him home like a doutiful stepmother, but he knew what would really happen if he sat in her car.

1) Respect your admin and the rest of your players
No pestering, stalking, or harassment of ANY KIND. We do not tolerate bullies and it could lead to an instant ban.
Characters that are assholes are fine, this is supposed to be real life; Any player or character of any race, sexuality, religion, or gender is welcome here.
2) Joining application
For those of you who are just browsing our forum before deciding to join, we do require an application to join. It is a simple application and can be found here.
3) Character Guidelines
We do in fact have face claims for our characters. You can find out whose face claims have been taken here.
We do not have a character application; we only ask that your characters are not "Anime" style, Cartoon style, or drawings, have a realistic story line, and are not Mary-Sues, but we do have a simple guide that helps with the character making process.
If you are still working on your character and have not completed it, but you started roleplaying said character, you will receive three warnings; if you do not comply you will be suspended for one week before being allowed to return. If you continue to disregard this rule, you will be banned.
**There are a few exceptions for those who are grandfathered into this forum**
4) No God-modding
This is a simple one; you only have control over your own character. DO NOT make actions for others unless given permission.
5) Mature Content
We are a mature site. You do not EVER have to partake in a story line that makes you feel uncomfortable.
Make sure all adult stories are labeled with either M or Mature so others know that they don't have to read it. Feel free to add extra warnings at the start of your posts to keep those who don't want to read mature content from reading on.
We reserve the right to stop you from going into explicit scenes that are morally wrong. While mentioning that your character was raped in their history is fine, playing such scenes out will not be welcomed here.
We ask that you make sure to respect other players triggers! Also no pornographic pictures of any kind! While we are not an 18+ forum, we do reserve the right to decline your application if we think you are too young. This will be decided as a group among the administrators.
6) Word count & literacy
We welcome RPers of all types. Though we ask that English be your primary language and people can understand you. We do not believe in word counts. Both one liners, semi-lit, and paragraph types are allowed to be played.
No Chatspeak allowed, unless you are using ( ) or OOC:/ or BIC:/
7) Marriage, pregnancy & birth
Marriage must be agreed upon by both players.
Pregnancy can only happen if both players involved agree to it.
Pregnancy must be played out for one IRL month before a child is born.
The minimum wait time for a child to age is 2 week = 1 year.
It is up to both players involved to choose if the child stays as a character, one of them will play it, or another person brought in.
8) Character Death
Characters can die here- either for story purposes or because you wish them to, we do have a retired characters section here. This is in case you don't want to roleplay your character anymore, but don't want to delete them either in case you ever decide to do so.
9) Don’t Take Things Personally
When it comes to our characters, yes we all grow attached to them at times, but please do not attack a certain persons character just because you are having trouble with another member.
Also remember, don't take what happens to heart, this is a roleplay: If a character doesn't like yours don't take it personally and try to cause drama because of it. This role play is about developing character relationships and in those terms not all of them are going to be positive.
If bullying between characters moves to bullying between members please alert the admin team so that the situation can be handled appropriately.
10) Activity
Please be active! A role play group with only a few members that get on and others that don't will fail to grow and those few who are roleplaying, their characters will not develop like we all want them to. We understand that life happens and you are not able to stop by every day, BUT if possible, please inform a administrator that you will be absent for a little bit: No explanation needed.
If you have been accepted, made a character, and posted responses, after three months of being in-active, you will be deleted. Unless you have informed an administrator of your absence.
If you have been accepted but have not created a character, you will have two months of being inactive before being deleted. Unless you have informed an administrator of your absence.
If you haven’t been accepted (Have not filled out the application) you will have one month of being in-active before being deleted. Unless you have informed an administrator of your absence.
On this thread we would like you to introduce yourself! Let everyone in the forum know your name or nickname and a little bit about yourself.
Example:
Hello! My name is Kiersten but everyone calls me Kipcha (Or a number of other nicknames). Roleplaying is just one of my favorite hobbies; I love to read (A LOT) and I do a bit of writing (Nothing novel worthy... YET). I work at a Veterinary Clinic as a Vet technician. I am married (Old married maid over here) and I leave in Dallas, Texas. I have one one dog and one cat!
If you'd like to talk or roleplay just send me a message!
