Their parents spent nearly all their time together, going to parties and on vacations, often leaving the kids behind with nannies. Neither Skylar or Lonie learned what it was like to be loved and though they spend a lot of time together they don't always get a long. They say they love each other but won't hesitate to throw the other under the bus. Their relationship is tumultuous and as they got older their friendship turned into a sibling rivalry. Everything became a competition. Often they competed on co-ed teams but always tried to out do the other. Their inside joke is often "anything you can do, I can do better." and they don't care if they hurt anyone in the process. Well, at first Lonie wasn't that way. He was always a bit softer than his cousin, he did feel bad after their bullying went too far, but nothing really happened until the whole Rosalina fiasco that ultimately sent the two to Tidewater at the end of their sophomore year and forced them to return their junior year. Their sophomore year they didn't have much time to make names for themselves but now they have all the time in the world. I've been done I've been movin' on since we said goodbye I cut you off   I don't need your love, so you can try all you want Your time is up, I'll tell you why When they first entered the world of high school they went to another well known boarding school that was home to kids from many elite families and out of those kids Skylar and Lonie quickly moved up the ranks into the popular crowd. They were the proverbial Queen and King of their grade. They got whatever they wanted however they wanted, they lead their schools sports teams to victory like never before, but as they grew and learned more about what they could do, they began to experiment more with their school mates. With their houses always empty it was easy for them to go to and throw parties, often hooking up with various people, though Skylar seemed more into the one night stands than Lonie-though he wouldn't let his cousin leave him in the dust. You could say their competitive nature is what played a big role in this. Skylar was ruthless but Lonie still had a heart, especially after meeting a sweet girl named Rosalina. She was perfect to him, gorgeous, funny, and she was up for anything. She was always there for Lonie and at first she was just a hook up, but after repeated affairs his feelings grew for her. Some could say it was puppy love, but it made Lonie want to be better. He slowed down and eventually spent more time with Rosalina, cuddling on her couch and studying. Though he doesn't seem like it, Lonie is an intelligent person. As he began to pull away from his cousin and their friend group he was blind to see just what his cousin was planning. She didn't like Lonie ditching her, it had always been the two of them, so she had to figure out a way to get between him and his new found love. Skylar used the only skills she knew would work and Rosalina became another victim to her web. You say you're sorry But it's too late now  So save it, get gone, shut up 'Cause if you think I care about you now Lonie was late to a house party. Besides focusing on his girlfriend and classes, he also took up the hobby of making fake ID's-many of which he had to pass out that night. He made quick work of the job and went to find Rosalina. She was nowhere to be seen, though a few Skylars friends pointed him upstairs. As he made his way to the indicated bedroom he felt his stomach begin to churn as he tried to brace himself for whatever he would find. He hoped Rosalina would be waiting for him, maybe studying, she had promised to be only his though nothing could prepare him for what he saw when he opened the door. Rosalina was in bed with none other than Skylar, their clothes thrown about. At first she didn't notice him, too involved in enjoying the moment until Skylar made eye contact with Lonie. That's when she turned on the charm and her acting skills. Within seconds Skylar was out of the bed, pulling the blanket around her as Rosalina laid there, startled to see Lonie. She was shocked to silence as Skylar wove a story of how Rosalina seduced her, claiming that she was only with Lonie to get closer to her and Skylar didn't know Lonie and she were dating if Rosalina was coming onto her. Rosalina didn't have the chance to defend herself. Lonie's gaze was cold as he turned and walked away. Whether she had thought of the scene she was making or was only concerned for him, Rosalina ran after him, still completely nude, pleading with him to stop and listen to her, but he shook her off, completely humiliated as people stared, a few snickering as Skylar, now dressed, grabbed Rosalina's shoulder, shoving her clothes into her chest. "Better get dressed, Rosa," She said, loud enough for everyone to hear, "unless you want to continue showing everyone how big of a slut you really are." Her words were bitter, but Lonie said nothing, letting his cousin take him by the arm and lead him out of the party. After that he wanted nothing to do with the school and with little convincing he and Skylar transferred to Tidewater. With this new change Lonie decided he wasn't going to let anyone get close to him again. Instead he uses people, letting Skylar be his only friend. As they enter this new year they decided it was time to cause some trouble and decided to make the competition of a life time: by the end of their Senior year, whoever has slept with the most people gets to take the losers entire sum of graduation gifts, from cars to money to vacation. It isn't even the promise of new things that makes this competition so sweet, it's the fact they get to take something from the other and wave it in the others face. This competition was going relatively well until the day of the shooting. Skylar lost her life and Lanie was left in morning. The competition and the idea of forming relationships have faded away and he's more of a shell of his former self, coasting through his last year at Tidewater. Well,  Family:

Welcome to Tidewater!
This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills.
