This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills. Most of our conversations happen off site in our own chat room, which we have a link posted above in the toggled section, until then if you have any questions go ahead and post them in the CBOX, we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Have fun looking around, we hope to meet you soon!

At this time Tidwater is, unfortunately, on an indefinite hiatus. All active members have regrouped and started a new rol play forum.
If you would like to join us, it is located here.
Well, well, well. Despite what had happened already to two people, Shannon and Finely, it seemed the last person decided they were above the law of Truth or Dare.
Only this time Cami, other people were involved. Not only the little bun in your oven, but the possible father of said bun.
Position: Owner of the 'Dude, Where’s My Weed Dispensary'

Jeb walked down towards the alley he was pointed to when he asked about his dad, having tracked him down from their hometown of Ocean City to a bigger city about an hour away. He wasn’t sure what he was doing here, and from the look of things, he wasn’t faring well. He found his dad huddled up in an old jacket, living out of a cardboard house in the alleyway where several other homeless people lived. “Dad, what are you doing? Come home?” He knelt to his father’s level, but he noticed his father eyes weren’t focusing. He sighed, feeling defeated even though he hadn’t tried to bring his father home. “Dad. You can’t live like this.” He pointed around them, his eyes falling to another homeless person who was cooking something over a fire built up in an old can of soup.
His dad stirred, turning his attention back to him, “Jeb?” he wheezed, coughing slightly before he pulled out a half empty bottle of wine to his lips, and chugging a good portion of it. “I am no good to you. I’ll just weight you down.”
Jeb felt his heart ache, he knew his dad had let everything go after his wife died. But Jeb had lost a mother and yet he was moving on despite his past choices. “I have a job. I can care for you.” He reached out to grab his dad by the arm only to have his dad rip his arm away.
“No! Just leave me. I like it here.” His dad gave him a smile and chuckled a little, though the smile didn’t last very long. “I like it here.” He sighed, the bottle moving back to his lips once more.
Jeb watched his dad for a few seconds, figuring it wouldn’t be worth trying to drag him out of here, especially if the other people in the alleyway posed as a threat to the two of them. “What can I get you? I want to help.” He swallowed the lump in his throat, wanting to have his dad sitting up somewhere nice, but he couldn’t force the old man to leave, if he chose to be here.
His dad eyed him warily, though seemed to be thinking about his offer. “Alcohol? The good stuff. Some food and blankets. We all share here.” He motioned to the others in the alleyway, though Jeb didn’t think he was telling the truth.
“Alright,” Jeb said nodding his head. “I’ll bring you whatever you need.” He stood up, already making a list in his mind of other things his father could use, he only worried the others living in the alleyway, would steal it from him. “I’ll be back dad, just give me a couple of hours.” He said quietly before leaving the alleyway with what felt like a target on his back.

Name: Southerson Dean Decker Nickname: Dean Birthday: September 17 Age: 19 Grade: Freshman in College Position: Waiter at Dockside Orientation: Straight Status: Single Playby: Jay Alvarrez
Dean could feel his brothers eyes on him as he started stuffing a duffle bag with clothes. He didn't want to leave like this, but his father was giving him no choice in the matter. "You can come in Wes." He didn't think his brother would get in trouble if they talked, but he coudln't be sure what his father might say if they caught them. It didn't stop Westley from stepping into the room and sitting on the bed, watching him zip up the duffle bag before grabbing an old backpack from under the bed.
"Where are you going to go?"
The question had Dean pausing, he wasun't sure yet where he was going to go, but ideas popped into his head of where he'd like to try and see. "I don't know, I might travel around a bit." He figured he could last about a year on his savings to just travel the world for a time before finding a place to call home. He wasn't even sure what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, so why not take a year and travel? "I'll send you a postcard from wherever I'm at." he smiled, making a promise to send one to each of his siblings.
Westley smiled and nodded his head, "I wish I could go with you." he looked down at his hands, unable to face the fact that he would never go against their dad, and Dean understood why. Up until a few years ago, he had whorshiped his father too, and thought if he only pleased him, but now he could see that their father was nothing more than an ass. He hoiped Westley would notice this soon and not let it ruin his life like it had Dean.
"Don't worry, you can when you turn eighteen." Dean sent out the offer, hoping Westley would understand he was sending out a hand to help him if he wanted to leave their parents home when he turned eighteen. He'd send the same offer to his other two siblings, as long as thats what they wanted, but he couldn't imagine leaving his siblings under the care of someone who was manipulative and cruel. He couldn't help but think back to that night his eyes were open, and he lost everything. "Just, don't let dad control everything in your life." he warned Westley, knowing if he hadn't let his dad's promise of rewards for what he asked him to do.
Westley stared at him, unsure what to say, though he opened his mouth to say something when their dad stepped in and snapped at the two of them "Westley, go back to your room. I'll be in there in a second," He demanded amd Dean watched as Westley bent his head down and exited the room as fast as he could. His father turned towards him and his eyes were boiling hot despite being an icy stare. Dean swallowed a lump in his throat as he stared back, not wanting to back down. "Are you almost done? You have ten minutes before I call the police."
Dean rolled his eyes and went back to packing up anything and everything he could, his father had given him thrity minutes and he was wasting precious time not filling his bags till they bested. "Really dad? you're gonna risk being exposed by a coworker, police outside your house, your son being escorted out. Wont look good." he sneered as he finished grabbing what he wanted, ziipped up his suitcase, and swung his backpack over his shoulders. "See you around, dad." his tone sounding like he was making a joke as he walked out of his bedroom, out of the house, and out of the lives of his family.

Well, well, well. One of you students is even naughtier than I. Brave and stupid of you to pull the fire alarm, but which one of you did it? Fingers are pointing in several different directions, at least,
that's what I hear in the hallways.
Of course we all know of Harley accusing Shannon as the one to pull it in front of EVERYONE in during the assebmly. That was kind of embarrassing to be honest, but did Shannon do it?
Or did somebody else?
[Insert grainy video of a blonde girl wearing a hoodie with the hood up pull the fire alarm.]
Right now, I've decided to give you all a break on the truth or dare games. Mostly because there isn't much going on other than Reed cheating on Harley with Shannon, like we didn't see that coming. Kinley and Maxon are getting back together, for the hundredth time. Woo. There is some good news though.
We have a celebrity among us.
Everyone in the world has been wondering where Autumn Reinhold has disappeared to, and I am proud to announce, she's moved to Ocean City. Why she would want to move here? I have no clue.
Does anyone know this guy she's with?

After William had put Jessie to bed, he poured over the information sitting before him. He knew he shouldn’t have let Jessie see any of the evidence, he at least kept the important details hidden, as well as the gory information from her. She didn’t need to know how her mother was murdered, or how he was a suspect at one point, but he was found not guilty due to an alibi. The time it took to prove that, was too long though, and he was worried they would never find the murderer now.
His phone vibrated, showing an unknown number. “Detective Dane.” He answered, not knowing if this was a work-related phone call or someone calling the wrong number.
“Detective Dane, this is Officer Liam from Warren City, about two hours outside of your town.”
William raised an eyebrow, intrigued by why this officer was calling him and how he got his number. “Officer Liam, I don’t think we’ve ever met. How did you come about my number?” he was confused about what this call could be about, though he had a feeling it was to do with his wife’s murder.
“Your lieutenant gave it to me when I called the station, I have information for you,” His voice sounded serious, and William couldn’t help but sit up a little straighter. “We’ve had a murder out here, very similar to your wife’s. We’re pretty sure we have a serial killer on our hands.”
William formed a fist with his right hand, wanting to keep himself from growing angry over the fact that they hadn’t caught who had done this to his wife, and now they had possibly done this to someone else. He sighed slowly and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. “When can you talk face to face?”
“Anytime, tell me where and when.”
William looked towards his daughter’s bedroom, knowing she was sound asleep now and was safe. “Give me an hour, I’ll meet you halfway.” They had discussed where they were going to meet before he hung up the phone and started dialing his emergency babysitter. He wouldn’t have agreed to meet with the officer, if there wasn’t a chance, he could help solve what happened to his wife, and Jessie’s mom.
He’d do it for her, to give Maggie the justice she deserved and keep the place safe for Jessie’s future.

But couldn't reach that next level Let's keep it real This is nocompetition to me
I speak thetruth And everybody else knows it So set your ego to the side
Erik watched the house seemingly rise from the ground as they drove slowly down the dirt path. He could see the light still on in his room, but the rest of the house was dark. He cursed under his breath, realizing his parents weren’t awake yet, he wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or not. The cop car came to a stop before the front porch, causing the motion detective light to flood the driveway.
“Stay here.” Officer Frond stepped out of the car, leaving Erik with his partner who he noticed was snoring.
Erik didn’t plan on stopping him, he was an old family friend, and was his best option to avoid Juvie. He’d keep his mouth shut, act like a good kid that his parents thought he was, and when he turned eighteen, he would just disappear. He looked out the window of the patrol car as officer Frond stepped onto the porch just as his dad opened the front door, spotted him in the back seat, and shook his head.
“Doesn’t look good kid.” The officer in the passenger seat chuckled, watching the same thing Erik saw.
Erik glared at the back of the headrest, but knew the guy was right. His parents have had it with his behavior, he knew. He worried that he’d be sent off to Military School like they threatened before, his only hope was Officer Fronds influence. It felt like hours before the door to the back seat was opened and his father pulled him out by the arm. He was given ten seconds for the officer to take the handcuffs off before his father was dragging him by the collar into the house.
“It’s not what you think.” Erik started to say, even though he’d snuck out to fool around with a girl. She’d been the one to stop the original planned and came up with skinny dipping in the fountain. He didn’t get in the water with her, wondering what drugs she was on, but unfortunately, he stayed long enough to get caught.
“Skinny dipping in the fountain…” His mother sounded so sad and disappointed; Erik felt his shoulders slump a little.
“I didn’t even go into the fountain; it was all Emily.” He stated, though knew it wasn’t worth it. He could see his parents had already made the decision; he was bound for military school he knew it.
His father paced back and forth before finally turning, looming over him as he sat at the kitchen table. “You have one more chance to make a change Erik,” his voice was stern and steady, but Erik could hear it laced with anger. “Tidewater, with your brother, cousin, and uncle. Or you go to Military school.”
Erik opened his mouth to protest but knew this was his only choice. He closed his mouth as he thought about his choices. Military school would be the worst, but he knew Rosco would hold him accountable and wouldn’t let him out of his site. “He’s not my brother, we all know this.” He stated as he stood up, having known a lot longer that he wasn’t his brother. “But I’ll go to Tidewater.” He figured he could be good enough while there. He’d just had to survive two years.
“Don’t say that.” His mother’s tone was still sad, but there was conviction in it. He didn’t see the point in being upset about Rosco, he was still apart of the family, but the lie was in the open now, what was the point in pretending anymore.
“You’ll pack a suitcase tomorrow; I’ll get you registered in the morning.” With that, his father turned, wrapped his arm around his mother, and walked back to bed, leaving Erik alone.
He was used to that though.

Did you know you used to be myhero? All the daysyou spent with me
Name: Pierce Couffaine Birthday: August 25 Age: 18 Grade: Senior Orientation: Straight Status:Taken Playby: Francisco Lachowski
Now seem sofar away And it feels like you don't careany more
And now I try hard to make it I just wanna make you proud
The sounds of clinking glasses, coffee machines hissing with steam, people calling out orders for pickup drowned out Pierce’s thoughts as he sipped at his coffee. He liked being out in public like this, he wasn’t famous enough to be recognized, and he could relax. He wasn’t sure what this meeting was going to be about, but he had a career to start growing.
“Sorry I’m late.” David Hiraga apologized as he slid into the seat in front of Pierce.
Pierce waved his apology, “No worries, I had time to get coffee,” he wouldn’t tell his brothers agent off, even if he was jealous of his brother’s success over his. “What did you need to talk about?” he asked, curious to know what David had for him, even though he wasn’t his agent.
“I have a proposition for you,” David said, looking around the coffee shop as if there might be someone there eavesdropping, but no one was paying attention to them because no one knew who they were. “Artemis. I know you two have had your issues in the past.” He put up a hand when Pierce opened his mouth to argue. “But you two both have something to gain from this.”
Pierce was ready to tell David off, not wanting to work with Artemis again after what she and her parents had done. He hadn’t planned on telling anyone about her drug abuse, but her parents had told her to get him kicked off the show in case he did. He had been hurt by that action because he thought Artemis and him had been close at the time. “What is this proposition.”
David let the silence fall between them, as if he was trying to build tension or was trying to figure out the best way to phrase what he was going to suggest. “You two date. A budding little romance. She comes out as clean, which she had gone to rehab and been treated.” he explained to Pierce.
Pierce already knew this, since he had been keeping track of her since they had worked together, and she was in a bad with his brother. He let David explain though, having a feeling he needed to say this.
“With your connection with her on the show as well as your brother being in the band, you could jump up in fame too.” David said, making a good point in Pierce’s mind. “You have a few days to decide.”
“I’ll do it.” Pierce said, not hesitating at all at the chance. Maybe he could get a little revenge for what she and her parents had done to him in the past. He reached over and shook David’s hand, knowing they’d have some sort of final contract in mind, especially when it came to them breaking up. This wouldn't be a forever thing after all, just enough to shoot him into being famous.
