We're sailing aren't we?
Its hard to tell the water from my tears
Don't worry
Have faith they told me

It was easier than in my younger years
Now that I'm older, now that it's colder
Life keeps on crashing
Day after day, like a wave after wave
We did everything right and now I'm asking
Rebellious- After a childhood where she always had to follow the rules Della has come to resent being told what to do. It isn't uncommon for her cock and attitude when someone tries to correct her in what she's doing. After separating from her parents and living on her own for as long as she has Della feels like she shouldn't need correction. It makes her a little hard headed and rebellious, though as she gets older she's starting to work towards picking her battles though if you want to get on her bad side all you have to do is try to tell her what to do in terms of correcting her behavior. She is also a thrill seeker with her rebellious spirit.
Positive- Despite annoyance and a relatively negative world that she has experienced Della tries to remain positive. She tries to keep a grin on her face while giving support, even when the stress gets to her. She has picked up some habits over time to cope with the extra stress, smoking is one of these habits she can't seem to drop. Even if she can't be positive for herself all the time, she tries to cheer up others and make them feel happy, being able to be their bright light helping cheer her up at times.
Energetic- Her mind is always racing, looking ahead to the next thing. She always has this build up of energy that she can't seem to shake, she blames it on her structured childhood that didn't allow her to run around and explore better ways to challenge herself and exert herself in a healthy fashion. Always being full of energy makes her easy to distract though she tries to reign herself in.
Self Sacrificing- She will give up anything to make someone else happy. She would give someone the shirt off her back if it meant making another happy or improving their life in some way. She cares deeply for others and will ignore her feelings if it means the other person being happy.
Where do we go?
When our prayers are answered
Where do we go?
When our prayers are answered but the answer isn't no
Tell me where the wind blows
When she was young her parents treated her like a doll made of glass, doting on their daughter with hopes that some day she would make something of herself, being successful was a huge part of the family. Her aunt and uncle were famous and so were their children, they had their own tv show! Something that Della's parents often looked down upon, deeming it as crass and never allowing Della to be on it, though it wasn't like Della was allowed to spend much time with anyone else besides her stifling parents. At the age of three her parents were searching to see what she was good at, wanting to find her skill and throw her into all the classes to hone it and make it valuable and though it took some time they noticed that their daughter really liked classical music, which gave them an idea. They started putting her in music lessons, watching in awe as she took to every instrument handed to her, leaning to play them with ease to the extent that her teachers claimed she was a prodigy. Her parents were thrilled, thinking they had a world famous artist on their hands. They put their daughter in every music class possible while homeschooling her. Della had hardly any social life and as she got older she started to rebel against her parents and try to break away from them, telling them that she wanted to go out and experience the world but they wouldn't allow it. She watched as her cousins got to do whatever they wanted, making her feel envious but once they mentioned making a band, she went to her parents and begged them to let her do one thing that would make her happy. Her parents were hesitant at first but figured that the kids would grow out of it eventually so they allowed her to join the band-a decision that would alter their lives forever.
Tell me where the wind goes
Where do we go?
We're dreaming
We're dreaming aren't we?
'Cause you're still with me sometimes when I sleep
This hallway, I'll walk it bravely
Like outlined on the pages of her band mates, their band became famous at their young ages. They added two new members and started to release hit songs that catapulted them to fame. Della's parents felt like they were in a nightmare and tried to keep a hold on their daughter, but it was hard for them to follow her while they toured and their overbearing nature started to drag on her mental health. Her parents wanted her to leave the band but she refused to give up her freedom and when they threatened to take her whether out of the band Della snapped and filed emancipation paperwork and cheered when it was granted. Her parents were furious any time she stepped away from them and the stress of these experienced raised her anxiety and so being out from under their thumb granted her great relief. Finally having control of her future and money she indulged in crazy antics. She's formed some bad habits and still struggles with recreational drug use and the smoking of cigarettes and partying and is constantly getting in trouble when fulfilling her desires and strives to have fun. She is a wild child and is always looking forward to the future.
When Riell experienced her breakdown and went into rehab she felt like it was a wake up call for herself as well. In a show of support and to help herself Della checked into rehab as well. She was able to rediscover her love of music, now that it could be a hobby instead of something forced on her by her parents. She loves playing in the band, but being able to pick up something new and allow herself to make mistakes. Though while in rehab she counted down the days that the band could return to writing songs and making music, especially when she saw Riell responding positively to treatment.
When the day came of their release she walked out with Riell but instead of the band going back on the road they wound up enrolling in high school and though Della likes this new perspective and life experiences she's starting to feel stagnant and worry that the band may never come back. She is looking for other ways she can possibly make a name for herself, though she isn't sure if she wants to be the one making music, maybe she wants the guide people in the music industry towards their dreams while she continues to support her band members as they branch apart and though she feels like she is being left behind, she encourages them with a smile on her face while she feels the shadows of loneliness drift around her, whispering to her that if she picks up her previous drug use maybe she could make some friends. She doesn't have her parents so she has to find support somewhere else.
And all the cliffs and fault lines in between
Now that I'm older, now that it's colder
