This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills. Most of our conversations happen off site in our own chat room, which we have a link posted above in the toggled section, until then if you have any questions go ahead and post them in the CBOX, we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Have fun looking around, we hope to meet you soon!

At this time Tidwater is, unfortunately, on an indefinite hiatus. All active members have regrouped and started a new rol play forum.
If you would like to join us, it is located here.
Dark, multiple voices. Several men, maybe one or two women. Hands and feet are tied and a mouth gagged was placed. Rough hands grabbing a hold, fear and pain rushing through every vein.
It was too real, it felt too real.
"Ani."
Her name snapped her out of the dark haze she'd been stumbling through as she tried to find her way out of the dark visions she saw every time she closed her eyes.
"You're alright. You're safe here with me." The kind words of her therapist didn't calm her nerves or fear, but she tried to appear so. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly as she was instructed to do whenever the images got too bad. "Now, how did you feel."
How did she feel? This question was asked by every therapist, and she was getting tired of answering it without getting an answer back as to why the nightmares stopped years ago, only to return recently. "Alone. Scared. More like terrified." she repeated the list she made the first time the question had been asked. It was the same things she felt every time she had the nightmare and the everything felt so real, she woke up with real fear running through her.
"Tell me what went on before you were kidnapped." the Therapist scribbled something down on her pad and Ani figured it was the list she just rattled off. She didn't want to keep reliving this nightmare, she just wanted to forget it and actually sleep well at night.
"I was outside playing, there were three of us..." Ani remembered how Kelsey, Catie, and her would all play at the little creek behind their houses. Past the fences. Past the safety of their gated community. "It was like every other day you know, we didn't think..." She trailed off, a tear sliding down her face as she remembered the two faces of her friends, that never got to grow up. Her therapist nodded her head and motioned for her to continue, though reached over and grabbed the tissue box, holding it out for her. Ani took a tissue and wiped her face, wishing she could stop crying over the fact that her two childhood friends were never going to grow up and it might have been the same for her. "A gray van pulled up on the dirt road beside the creek, and several guys popped out. Surprised us." she remembered how all three of them tried to fight, scream, get away, but none of them were strong enough. "That's the last thing I remember before waking up in the dark room. Alone." She didn't know the fate of her two friends at that time. She found out later they had been sold in a sex trafficking ring, or possibly killed. She'd been held for ransom and her parents had paid. She had heard that she would also be sold into sex slavery even if they had paid, but authorities had been contacted. After the money had been given, the police had shown up and ransacked the house.
"Do you want to discuss what happened... In that house?"
Ani shook her head. She didn't want to remember the long cold nights on the floor. The lack of food or water given to her over the few days she waited for the ransom to be paid.
What else went on in that house she was trapped in, would stay with her forever.
Underneath it all I'm held captive by the hole inside I've been holding back for the fear that you might change your mind
