This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills. Most of our conversations happen off site in our own chat room, which we have a link posted above in the toggled section, until then if you have any questions go ahead and post them in the CBOX, we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Have fun looking around, we hope to meet you soon!

At this time Tidwater is, unfortunately, on an indefinite hiatus. All active members have regrouped and started a new rol play forum.
If you would like to join us, it is located here.

You say you got me all figured out

Think you can read my mind
Think I'm the type to play around

But baby you've seen the type
"Westley! Time for dinner!"
"I'll be right there!" Westley called down as he pushed the last thumbtack into his wall and stepped back to admire his work. He had redecorated his wall with posters and pictures of his current obsession; Riell Candace. Sure some of the pictures had other members of the band, but she was his main focus at the moment.
"OooOooo, Westley's got a girlfriend." His little brother giggled before running down the hall to avoid any repercussions. If only he wished, he would give anything to be her boyfriend let alone just meet her. He'd be lucky if he even got to buy a ticket for a concert to watcher her with the way his parents controlled their spending. They were constantly telling him and his siblings they needed to save up for college, though lately he told them that if he could just buy a ticket to their concert, he knew if he and Riell made eye contact, it would fix him up for life.
"Westley, we need to talk." His father stepped into the doorway, not even phased by his wall of posters and pictures of Riell. His dad was after all, a photographer for People magazine and his mother was also a writer for them. That was how they met after all. So seeing pictures of celebrities wasn't something new in the house.
"Yeah dad? What's up?" he asked as he tossed the rest of the thumbtacks he didn't use onto his desk, figuring he could use them for more pictures later. Though where he would put them? He wouldn't know, his entire room from ceiling to floor was covered in photos with whatever he was obsessed with at the moment.
"I have a proposition for you." His dad stepped over to his desk and took a seat, motioning he should do the same, despite the fact that his mom was yelling about dinner being ready. "Don't worry, your mom knows you'll be a little bit."his dad reassured him. Westley took a seat on his bed, rubbing his sweaty hands on his pants, worrying he had done something wrong and couldn't remember what it was. He had to be in trouble, right?
"As you know, we've been trying to get the inside scoop on that band you are obsessed with. Rock and whatever." He waved his hands in dismissal, as if it wasn't his duty to know who it was he was trying to capture photos of.
"Rock-Away." Westley corrected his dad, though that didn't matter since his dad started talking without accepting the correction.
"We've located them at this Tidewater School, we want to send you since you're the same age. We need you to get the scoop on them, any scoop, anyway you can." his dad began to stand as if that was the end of the conversation and there was no need to explain further. He'd given his instructions to his son and that was all that was necessary, even if the information was to only get any information he could, by any means necessary.
Westley stood up and nodded his head, knowing he would do anything as long as he could even just see Riell in the same room as him. "Okay dad. I wont let you down." he smiled and held out his hand to his dad. His dad hesitated at first, but then took his hand and shook it. Westley was smiling like an idiot, not because he was getting to get out of the house, away from his younger siblings, but this would mean he'd get to talk to the bandmembers.
And Riell.
