Don't be upset or mad at all
Don't feel regret or sad at all
Hey, I'm still a part of the family,
And I'm fine, I am totally fine

I will stand on the side as you shine
I'm not fine, I'm not fine
I can't move the mountains
I can't make the flowers bloom
Mischievous- Having a lot of time on her hands, Sasha likes to play pranks and make jokes. She isn't straight laced and enjoys making her own fun. She doesn't feel guilty if she skips class, she would rather go have experiences than be stuck in one track.
Creative- The best way she expresses herself is through her art work. Sasha loves to paint, draw, craft with ceramic-she'll try anything once, though she does tend to keep her art work to herself. People judge her enough for who she is so she doesn't want her art torn down either.
Melancholic- Though she tries to be carefree and have fun, she does have moments where reality comes crashing down on her. There are times she remembers that her aunt and uncle don't care about her and that her siblings will eventually leave her behind. She tries to come to terms with this but sometimes there are days where she can't shake these negative feelings.
Strong Willed- Though it feels like the world is against her and like no one cares, Sasha will not let herself give up. She continues to push forward, often saying that it is spite that strengthens her. She wants to prove everyone wrong about her.
Protective- Even though she allows people to push her down and make fun of her, Sasha will not allow this to happen to anyone of her friends. She is very protective of her friendships and won't stand for anyone she cares for being hurt.
I can't take another night up in my room
Waiting on a miracle
I can't heal what's broken
Can't control the morning rain or a hurricane
Sasha doesn't remember much about her childhood. What she knows is that her parents were drug addicts and left Lewis to raise her and her sister, something she is very thankful for and willingly tells him-after she pulls a prank on him. She doesn't remember their time in foster care and she barely knows other members of her family outside of who she was raised with. All she knows is that they weren't willing to help and she despises them for it. Maybe if they had helped her parents would still be alive and she wouldn't be the only black sheep of the family. Then again, their life style wasn't something she would have wanted to endure.
When her parents had passed away she and her siblings were left in the system as social workers tried to find family to take them in and though they were hesitant at first, they took them. William and his wife bit the bullet. They had the money and the huge house but did they have the gene that made them good parents? Sasha would say no. In that house everything had to be perfect-like a magazine. The kids were forced to stay in their rooms, they could only play there and if any toys or mess were found outside of those rooms they were punished. William and Estella wanted perfection and to accomplish this they categorized each child. While Lewis was defined as the athlete, Maya was crowned as the perfect one, and Sasha...well, she was there. She didn't fit into any of their little niches, which vexed them greatly and since she can't do anything right in their eyes, she has basically given up on trying to please them, instead she does whatever she wants since no one seems to care-unless she gets into trouble. At least in those ways she had to pretend to care about her, otherwise she feels alienated in her own family. Its almost seems like they expect her to end up just like her parents.
Can't keep down the unspoken invisible pain
Always waiting on a miracle, a miracle
Always walking alone
Always wanting for more
While all the attention is on her siblings, Sasha is often left in the dust. She's the second thought and by now she's gotten used to it. Lewis is busy with sports and Maya is busy being a socialite. Sure her sister invites her along to hang out, but she doesn't see how her friends make fun of her and made her life miserable. Sasha is starting to get tired of being reminded of how unwanted she is. This shadow follows her, reminding her that she is worthless, but she tries hard to at least enjoy the life she is having. She takes up many hobbies ranging from skateboarding to painting, though no one seems to really care. She's sure her siblings do care, but believing it and seeing it are two different things. For now Sasha is taking life day by day, wondering just what is meant for her.
Like I'm still at that door longing to shine
Like all of you shine
All I need is a change All I need is a chance
All I know is I can't stay on the side
Open your eyes, open your eyes, open your eyes
I would move the mountains
