Within me lies what you really want

Come, lay me down
'Cause you know this sound
In the middle of the night, in the middle of the night
Just call my name, I'm yours to tame
I'm wide awake, I crave your taste
Careless- All those years of pressure for perfection has made Brice stop caring, regaining his childhood carelessness that he never got to experience. He's all about having fun, not thinking about the future and only about the present and how fun it can be.
Flirtatious- Brice likes attention, especially from the ladies. Flirting comes easy to him, leaving him as someone who doesn't do well in monogamous relationships. He hasn't cheated on anyone but his compliments and wandering eyes has left many girlfriends angry to the point where it ends in a break up.
Independent- With his parents more focused on his siblings Brice has become independent. He does just enough for his parents to not completely disown him but otherwise does whatever he wants when he wants and doesn't like being held down. He doesn't want to have to rely on anyone or wait when it comes time for him to do what he wants.
Simple- It doesn't take a lot to make him happy, Brice tends to stay surface level so that unneeded expectations aren't put on him. He likes to keep things from being complicated, wanting to enjoy life without its complications.
All night long 'til morning comes
I'm getting what is mine, you gon' get yours,
These burning flames, these crashing waves
Brice was the first born of his siblings and he was raised to lead by example. His parents were strict with him, the followed all the books and rules, and determined to mold him into exactly what they wanted. Brice wasn't allowed to do many things, he could only watch tv for an hour every day and could only eat organic food. When it came to making friends his parents had a say in every interaction, keeping those they deemed unworthy away from their golden boy. To say they were controlling would be an understatement but Brice found himself enjoying the attention. As frustrating as it was. It went on like this until the birth of his little brother then his sister.
He was still expected to be the older sibling who set the right example except his parents attention started to go him only when he did something wrong that didn't align with their ideals. He went from having their constant guidance to never knowing what they wanted until it was too late and like most older siblings he was starting to feel like he had been forgotten. He didn't hate his siblings but resentment did take hold of him when he noticed that his younger siblings didn't have to follow the same rules as him. They could watch tv as much as they wanted, they could eat whatever they wanted, and rarely did they get in trouble but Brice was still scolded for stepping out of line at any minor rate until he finally got old enough to not care.
Wash over me like a hurricane
I'll captivate, you're hypnotized
Feel powerful but it's me again
Come, lay me down
'Cause I know this sound
As he got older Brice acted out in and out of class with his friends and when his parents tried to scold him he would just talk back. He didn't care about what they said, he was tired of being treated differently and wanted to be his own person and eventually his parents began to give up, focusing on his little brother and sister instead. Brice started to stay out late and found himself really enjoying the attention he got from girls, developing a promiscuous reputation that he didn't mind at all. He liked being able to get what he wanted and didn't care much about any repercussions. He was carefree and rarely home and though his parents didn't say anything they began to notice and hear from other parents their complaints of a rambunctious boy who was breaking their daughters hearts, playing loud music, and being an all around nuisance. They couldn't take it much longer and under Brice's nose enrolled him at Tidewater High and sent him away for all four years. At least then they could keep the distance between them and their black sheep of a son.
Being sent away stung, and it still does, but Brice took on that new leap of freedom. He was quick at making new friends and getting in with the party crowd, exploring the entire town and raising more of a ruckus and loving each minute of it. The only thing that he kept doing in a steady fashion was play the drums. He loves music and being loud so playing the drums wasn't hard for him to take interest in. At first he was downright terrible but after years of practice he got good enough make a band with his friends and get gigs around town. It's all just for fun though-and to meet girls.
After graduating Tidewater-by some miracle-Brice was forced into college, there was no way his parents weren't going to let him avoid it, and enrolled at the local university. He keeps switching majors, nothing holding his attention for long and is still in his party boy ways. Maybe some day he'll grow up but it's not today. All he wants to do is have fun.
