You're bad, babe, you double-faced entendre  Life goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and On, and on, and on Babe, you best believe it, I'ma rip you up to pieces Workaholic- He has always been determined and dedicated and once he entered the working world those things have made him a workaholic. His work comes first and whatever he has for a personal life is last. He spends long hours at the office and always puts his clients first. Better clients means getting more money, something he is very passionate about. He has the drive to be successful in everything he does. Cutthroat- David isn't afraid to cut down his competition. He is an intelligent and precise business man who focuses on his own needs and those of his clients. He puts them at priority and doesn't care what happens to others in the process. The same can be said for his personal life. If someone isn't beneficial or useful to him, he cuts them loose without a second thought. Vindictive- He holds grudges and when someone wrongs him, he isn't afraid to get petty or get back at them in anyway that presents itself. He is an opportunist and some would say a sadist. He finds satisfaction at getting back at those he thinks have wronged him. Cold- Tying in with above he is often cold to those he wants nothing to do with and when it comes to meeting people who aren't important in his work life, he doesn't care much. He only cares about his family and his work and he presents a warmth in that world, but outside of it he is closed off and rarely speaks to those he doesn't think are worthy. Manipulative- He knows how to tell people what they want to hear, especially when he wants something. He is kind to his clients, but he also knows how to twist their arms and convince them that his way is correct. His knowledge and experience makes him someone that can be trusted and believed without another thought and he isn't afraid to push his will on someone else. I'm a lover, not a fighter, but I'll light this place on fire I want it, I'm on it, but babe, at least, I'm honest  I get tired of explaining As these seasons keep on changing Life goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and Growing up David was the nerdy kid focused on getting through high school so that he could go to college. He wanted to make his parents proud of his studies and prove to them that he didn't have to be a doctor or lawyer to be successful. He loved music, it helped him understand his feelings and it was one of those things that connected himself and his family, ranging from traditional Asian music to classical to even rock and pop. Though his parents were hard working immigrants, they made time for David and his sister, having family dinners and game nights, though they always had pressure on their kids to be successful. They were skeptical of David's goal to be a music producer, but encouraged him to keep his grades up, thinking that once he entered college it would change his mind. His determination to prove himself right made him distant from his peers. The idea of having a girlfriend was far from his mind, until a classmate named Cynthia started to talk to him, almost like she was going out of her way to talk to him. She was like a fly constantly buzzing around him and for a long time he couldn't stand it. She was beautiful and popular, he was a rude nerd and yet there she was, trying to get to know him and then it seemed that as soon as she was there, she was gone, seemingly given up on her absurd quest to get to know him and though it was peaceful he suddenly felt...lonely. So he did something he didn't think he would have the nerve to do-having been awkward and shy back then-he approached her and before he knew it they were a thing-in secret of course, but he didn't mind. He liked the attention and the feelings between them. He liked these feelings so much that he was okay with being the other man. Cynthia was dating the school quarterback in public but David got those hidden moments. He was content with that...until Cynthia admitted she was pregnant. She denied any chance of it being his and pushed him away with mean words and harsh actions. This event changed him. He became hardened and turned his back on the world, recentering himself and making his future career and education his priority. He quickly graduated college and went on to work at a record label and while working he discovered the band Rock Away, composed of Riell, Aaron, Syra, Artemis, and Luca. he was so impressed with these kids that he fought for the band to band to get signed and make a record-though under his guidance the band changed their sound and their popularity sky rocketed. Having such a huge success, David was brought forth, being their main agent and a music producer and it seems that everything he touches turns to gold. This makes him proud but also makes him feel the extra stress. He can't fail and tarnish his reputation and with Rock Away on hiatus, the stress is even higher. Though he doesn't want to hurt their mental health, he has moved to Tidewater to encourage the members to think about going back into music. While he is in this town he is searching for the next big thing-and watching over his nephew Adam. Adam is the only child of his sister Caroline and a shining light in their family. He was a happy edition of the family and always makes them laugh and make their days better. He's smart, happy, and so different from their straight laced family that David appreciates his nephew and would do anything for him. When his sister asked him about watching over her son while he's in school, David didn't think twice. He wants Adam to have enjoyable teenage years and is always looking out for him. Welcome to Tidewater!
This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills.
