This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills. Most of our conversations happen off site in our own chat room, which we have a link posted above in the toggled section, until then if you have any questions go ahead and post them in the CBOX, we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Have fun looking around, we hope to meet you soon!

I've never been afraid of any deviation
"Are you sure we are allowed in here Tori? Wont your parents get upset?" Kathy looked around as if her parents would pop out at them at any moment with a knife or a camera, wearing some ridiculous outfit to scare them.
Victoria rolled her eyes and shook her head, "Please, when was the last time you saw them care about anything involving me?" she wasn't even sure about the last time she saw her parents in the same room in their house. The last conversation she had with her mother was a phone call to let her know they were about to get on a flight for Paris and she'd been wired some money.
Her parents didn't care about her at all, she learned a long time ago they only used her for appearances to look good; like a good wholesome family that everyone on the outside thought they were. Her close friends knew her real nature, she was the poster child for being two faced; teachers, and parents, and those of authority knew her as the sweet, innocent child of a congressman and CEO mother. However, when she lets you in her inner circle, you learn shes a horrible person who doesn't care who she hurts as long as it's not her.
"But it's your dads office, isn't always locked when he's away?" Kathy looked behind her and noticed Wendy carrying Victoria's cleaned laundry up to her room. "Wont she tell on us?" she whispered, not wanting to draw attention to the two of them, but they were probably already spotted.
Victoria turned to Kathy and plastered on the biggest and most fake smile she could on her face. "Wendy's a sweetheart, she would never tattle on me," She eyed Wendy as the woman took the last few steps; Wendy knew better than to cross Victoria. Several employees of the Taplin family had been fired because of her.
"Stop being a little bitch and help me find my birth certificate or else I'll fail the stupid family assignment." Victoria was already annoyed that she had to do the work of this assignment instead of having a nerd do it for her. Instead she had to go searching her fathers file cabinet in hopes she'd find her birth certificate and search her stupid family tree.
Kathy was hesitant to do anything but stand there, she looked behind her one more time before following Victoria into the office. She didn't touch anything right away, but once she saw Victoria start shifting through the files.
At first Victoria and Kathy didn't find much besides her mothers business information or stuff on her dads campaign. Until, that is, she stumbled upon a file with her name on it. "Got it, this must be it." She smiled happily, seeing an A on her assignment already.
She pulled the file and started shifting through it. She didn't find anything of interest in the beginning; vaccine records, baby teeth, her surgery for tubes in her ears when she was young. The usual stuff you might find in many kinds files. It started getting weirder when she noticed there were invoices not a doctors office, but to a couple. A large sum of money was sent three times to this couple and the reason given was labeled 'Baby'. She frowned as she flipped to the last piece of paper and her whole body froze as she read over it, she paled as she read it again, unable to comprehend what she was reading.
"What did you find?" Kathy asked as she walked over to stand next to Victoria. She tried looking over her shoulder, but Victoria hid the next piece of paper from her.
"Yeah. I found what I needed." She swallowed the lump in her throat, as she held the file tightly in her hand. "Um, I'm suddenly not feeling well, just go home."she pushed past Kathy and headed towards the stairs to hide in her room and look over what she had just found further.
"What about your project? I thought you wanted help?"
"I said go!" Victoria yelled as she stomped up the stairs, clutching the file to her chest.
She didn't make sure Kathy left her house or not, she figured she would leave or else just be standing there like an idiot. Once she was safely in her room after kicking Wendy out despite her clothes not completely put away, she opened the file again. She skipped the first part with the vaccines and surgery and everything and went straight to the invoices. She looked them over again before picking up the piece of paper that had made her kick Kathy out.
Her Birth certificate wasn't signed by her parents, and it didn't have Victoria as her name at all.
She was born to a different couple with the name Sandy. And the couples name were the same ones on the invoices labeled baby. She'd been sold to her current parents for a large amount of money.
"So, no one wants me." She felt the tears on her cheeks before she realized she was actually crying, and pulled her legs up to her chest, feeling completely alone.
