Don't even want the attention
But yeah, that's all that she's getting
Her song is on and she's spinning around, yeah
She got me drunk like Corona
Heart racing like it's Daytona
Ooh, I'm in Heaven, I swear, right now

Age: 17
Grade: Junior
Orientation: Straight
Playby: Kristen Strout And those eyes can hypnotize
Was designed to blow my mind
It's like I heard angels singingLike she came down from the ceiling
When she walked in here this evening, I thought, yeah
They say a good love is one that sits you down, gives you a drink of water, and pats you on top of the head
But that's something a brother would do and that's where Jolene has found herself
Stuck from being like a sister and nothing more
"Jojo, why haven't you admitted your feelings for Reed yet? He's like your best friend."
Jolene rolled over onto her back as she also rolled her eyes at her friend, Harley, for suggest a thing. She was nothing but an awkward, box shaped, wearing braces, and flat chested girl; what guy would even look her way? She's had a crush on Reed ever since they were children. Her mother reminds her, and him to her embarrassment, how she used to chase him around the backyard trying to kiss him. Ever since then, Jolene pretended to be grossed out, claim he was like a brother, and that she was little and didn't know better.
"Because Harley, look at me! I don't think Reed sees me as anything but a sister." She pouted, not wanting to even think that Reed thought of her that way. But she didn't let that thought make her sad. "And besides, I heard he likes someone else." though that was just a rumor, part of her hoped it was true, and that she was the one he liked.
Harley crossed her legs and put her face into her hands, "Can we ride Queen Bee?" She asked, not wanting to sit around her friends room complaining about boys not liking them or knowing they liked them, without them saying anything about it.
Jolene rolled back onto her stomach and sat up, "Yeah we can, but this is the last day," she slipped off her bed and headed for the hallway. "Mom and dad say she'll get pregnant tomorrow." she smiled brightly. Mom and dad had promised her the foal that was produced by Queen Bee. She'd be able to raise it, train it, and race it when it was old enough.
"Awww, a baby horse!" Harley squealed as the two little girls rushed downstairs. They were both stopped at the bottom of the stairs by Jolene's mom.
"Girls, slow down No need to rush." She said holding something behind her back that made Jolene fear what she was hiding. "Now, Jolene. I have a surprise for you." She was smiling with a tease on her lips as she shimmed a little at the secret she was holding behind her. Jolene could see bits of fabric poking out between her moms legs and knew it meant.
"No mom, I don't want to do another chance to dress up like a clown and march down a runway for idiots." Jolene said sarcastically, begging her mom through her eyes not to put her through the pain of hair, makeup, duct tape where it should be. "I never win!" She reminded her mother why they had stopped doing pageants in the first place, though now it seems, her mother had not listened.
"Come on, it'll be fun," Her mother pulled out the maroon dress she had been hiding behind her back. Jolene grimaced at the sight, even if the color was gorgeous and as her mom held it up, she couldn't help imagine seeing Reed's face if he ever saw her in it. "And maybe, that Reed boy will see you in it." Jolene felt her face turn completely red, wondering how her mother knew that's what she was thinking about. Jolene whipped her head around and made sure no one was listening.
"Mom! Don't lie like that!" She tried to lie, but she was sure her face was flushed with heat. She was thankful that he wasn't around, but she knew if her brother was home the Malcolm boys were there too.
"Harley and I are going to ride Queen Bee, I don't want to talk about this." Jolene grabbed her friends hand and dragged her towards the back door, hearing her mother call out behind her that she was signed up whether she liked it or not.
"You're mom aint wrong you know." Harley pointed out the obvious. She knew if she did the pageant she would practice and have to wear the dress and possibly have Reed see her in the house wearing it. There was also the possibility that he'd show up to the pageant to cheer her on. But she knew she wasn't good enough and wouldn't win and that was embarrassing to think about Reed seeing her lose.
"Shut up Harley." Jolene sneered at her as she let go of her friends hand and made their way to the barn.
The thought of Reed ever knowing she liked him, terrified her the most.
That girl one in seven billion
Got everyone in here feeling
Like there's a fire in this building, so hot
Got a smile on her angel face
I know I'll never lose my faith

Got that look in her eyes
Swear she fell right out the sky
Yeah, I think I've seen the light
Every kiss, I could dieIt's like the heavens opened wide
Man, I swear I've seen the light
