This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills. Most of our conversations happen off site in our own chat room, which we have a link posted above in the toggled section, until then if you have any questions go ahead and post them in the CBOX, we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Have fun looking around, we hope to meet you soon!

At this time Tidwater is, unfortunately, on an indefinite hiatus. All active members have regrouped and started a new rol play forum.

“Fuck. It’s definitely positive.” Cynthia stepped out of the bathroom holding a pink pregnancy test in her hand as she stared down at the two little pink lines that became visible. There were multiple pregnancy tests were strewn about the bathroom counter, all giving the same results: positive.
“My parents are going to kill me.” She said, not even thinking about how this was going to change her future. She could kiss college goodbye, possibly.
“You could… You know.” Cynthia’s cousin, Miranda made elaborate hand motions for what she assumed meant get an abortion. It wasn’t illegal to do, just frowned upon by many, and by many, it was a lot.
Cynthia shook her head, though she hated that she had thought about it for a split second. She put her hands on her belly and sighed. She didn’t even know who the father was, but she hadn’t told Miranda that little tid bit yet. “No… I… I want to be a mother.” She always wanted to be a mom, she just didn’t expect it to be so soon.
Miranda shrugged her shoulders and sat back on the bed. “Have you told Rick yet?”
Cynthia’s stomach lurched and she raced into the bathroom to vomit. It wasn’t morning sickness, it was the fear of what would happen if she were to tell Rick she was pregnant. She had to tell David too, and that was even worse in her mind. “It um.. It might not be Ricks.” She finally admitted to Miranda as she flushed the toilet. She turned on the sink to wash her face and rinse out her mouth, but she was planning to take her sweet time. Her cousin had other plans however, and practically leapt off the bed and came crashing into the bathroom, hitting the door and grabbing onto the counter.
“Excuse me, what?”
Cynthia sighed before turning to her best friend. “I’ve been seeing someone on the side.” She admitted, feeling her cheeks flush with heat as she thought about David.
“Who!” Her cousin exclaimed, standing on the balls of her feet with excitement.
It surprised Cynthia that she wasn’t the least bit concerned that her cousin was cheating on Rick, but there was something fun and exciting about gossip of any kind. She bit her lower lip as she debated on telling her cousin, worried that her blabber mouth would spread it all around the school.
Miranda rolled her eyes and held out her pinky finger to her cousin, “I pinky swear not to tell anyone. Not a soul. And if I do tell, you can sew buttons into my eyes like in Coraline.”
Cynthia eyed her cousin but smirked when she mentioned their favorite movie. She sighed and finished off the swear by intertwining her pinky with hers. “Fine. I better not hear of this. Ever,” she wasn’t going to really sew buttons into her cousins’ eyes, but she wouldn’t trust her ever again. “It’s. David. David Hiraga.” She winced, waiting for Miranda to laugh, make fun of her, or ask if she was joking.
Miranda blinked her eyes a few times as she studied her cousin. “David.. Really?”
Cynthia only nodded her head as she turned her attention to the pregnancy tests on the counter. “I don’t know how, but... I really like him.” Thoughts of the two of them together flashed through her mind, even though they met in secret, it felt special and sweet. He’d often bring her little origami animals with notes inside, or a random flower he found on his walk over. Her smile grew large at the thought of the two of them being parents together.
“Pregnant by a nerd.”
It was like those words shattered her entire world. She was already going to be disappointing her parents by getting pregnant at sixteen. She’d most likely be a little outcasted at school. But if it was Rick’s baby, she’d have a chance to stay at least in the inner circle, even if it was on the sidelines. She thought of David, about all those dreams he spoke about, what he wanted to do when they graduated. A baby would just, hold him back. Cynthia couldn’t force him to give that all up for a baby that might not be his.
“It’s Ricks, I’m sure of it.” Cynthia said with confidence, though it was hard to look at herself in the mirror before her.
