This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills. Most of our conversations happen off site in our own chat room, which we have a link posted above in the toggled section, until then if you have any questions go ahead and post them in the CBOX, we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Have fun looking around, we hope to meet you soon!

At this time Tidwater is, unfortunately, on an indefinite hiatus. All active members have regrouped and started a new rol play forum.
If you would like to join us, it is located here.
Compassionate- He will give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. Even when someone treats him poorly he tries to understand what is going on in their lives that are making them act the way they do. He doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his body and is friendly when meeting new people. He's almost a Golden Retriever type, trying to look on the bright side as much as he can.
Forgiving-He is someone who will give second, third, fourth, and even fifth chances. He's kind of a doormat in this regard. He see's nearly everyone as redeemable to some extent. He looks for the best in everyone that he meets. The only time he isn't forgiving or kind to someone is if it puts his daughters at risk. He is very protective of his girls and wants to give them the lives they deserve, hoping to spare them from the hardships they've already endured.
Easy Going- Noah is pretty laid back, even when he's working. He tends to let his students have as much creative freedom, not caring what they do as long as they are respectful and follow the general guidelines he sets out for them. He is a go with the flow kind of person who likes to please others and is a more low stress friend. He's the kind of type who you might not talk to for months but the minute you call he'll pick up the phone as if nothing has changed.
Goofy- He tends to act silly and make jokes to ease tensions. He likes to have fun and sometimes acts like a kid. He likes stupid stories and even dumber jokes. He's always up for a good time and doing something new, especially when it involves showing his kids the world. His girls are his life.
Artistic- Being the main art teacher at Tidewater means that he needs to be artistic, he's always loved painting and sculpting from when he was a kid and loved making it into his career. A lot of students use his class as a filler but he finds it worth it when he's finally able to reach out to a kid and watch them grow passionate about learning a new creative skill.
And you don't mean to
That's what I tell myself
But why you gotta be so heartless?
Noah grew up in a small Oregon town with his older, adopted sister Colbi. There's a year between the two but they were thick as thieves. They shared the same friend group with the kids in their neighborhood. During these years he met a girl named Estella, though everyone called her Stell. She was his sisters best friend and he had instantly fallen for her, though it took time for her to return the feelings. Stell, in all terms, was a bad girl. She was always out late, running around causing trouble, and partying while Noah stayed at home working on his next art project or doing school work, he was kind of a nerd but the more he saw Stell he became determined to win her over. It took some time for him to show her he was serious but after presenting her with a painting he had made of her dog that had passed away, she fell for him and his considerate and sweet ways. Colbi tried to warn Noah not to fall for Stell, that she was fun but was bad news and would leave him heart broken, but he didn't listen.
Throughout high school and well into his going to college he and Stell had a tumultuous on again off again relationship where one minute Stell has head over heels for Noah and the next was running off, claiming she wasn't good enough for him and that he was boring. Each time it broke his heart but he always took her back. He felt alive when they were together but also so broken when she would leave, but nothing made him come to his senses. He even followed her all the way to California after her graduated from college with his teaching degree. While he got a job in this new town Stell continued to party, her habits never changed, not even after they had gotten married and she found out she was pregnant with their first child.
Noah was over the moon with excitement at being a father, though part of him hoped that this new responsibility would get Stell to finally grow up and her outward actions showed him that she was. From what he knew she had stopped partying and was preparing to be a mom but the day that their daughter Magnolia was brought into the world he was slapped with the truth. Magnolia had been born drug addicted and had to spend the first month of her life in the NICU while he and Stell had to meet with CPS. Stell agreed to go into treatment and went into rehab while Noah spent every moment possible in the hospital with Magnolia, praying for her recovery and the chance for her to come home while he hoped that this would be the wake up call for his struggling wife.
I know you think it's harmless
You're tearing me apart and
Girl, the hardest part is
You're so high on attention
Eventually Magnolia was allowed to come home and Stell completed rehab. CPS continued to check in with them and once again Noah believed everything was fine, until he woke up to a note left by Stell, telling him she didn't want to be a Mom and that she wasn't made for it. Next to the note was her wedding ring and for years Noah didn't see her again. He was at a loss of what to do, he had a good job and no way to go back home for support, but he got lucky. His sister gave up her life and moved in with him, helping him care for Magnolia and for a while everything was good though Noah would find himself laying in his empty bed at night hoping that his family could be back together.
When Magnolia turned five Stell showed up on his door step once again, telling him she was clean and wanted to be with him again. At first Noah hesitated and his sister warned him it would be a huge mistake if he allowed Stell back into his life, though she was a bit soft as well, especially when she saw how Stell was so excited to see Magnolia again. Noah and Colbi started to believe that Stell had changed and allowed her back into the home, Noah ready to start again and have his family. It wasn't too long after Stell had come back that she was pregnant again. Colbi was disappointed but there for them while Noah did his best to get ready for a new baby.
Violette June was born happy and healthy, able to come home after a few days though Noah started to see old mannerisms come back to Stell a few months later. She barely interacted with the kids and often disappeared at night until once again he woke up to another note, repeating almost the exact same thing as the first one from years before. Once again his heart broke and Colbi continued to stay with him and help him with his girls while she burned with rage. She hadn't expected her once close friend ever doing this and part of her hoped Stell would never come back.
The wish somewhat came true when after a few months Noah and Colbi got word that Stell had been found deceased from an apparent overdose. Noah was crushed, he didn't know how to tell the girls but did his best to cope, having Colbi there helped a lot. He was able to stay on his feet and eventually Colbi moved out, but not too far. She still helps Noah while he regains his life and continues to enjoy what he has with his girls and their cat Chicken Elizabeth Nugget.
