This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills. Most of our conversations happen off site in our own chat room, which we have a link posted above in the toggled section, until then if you have any questions go ahead and post them in the CBOX, we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Have fun looking around, we hope to meet you soon!

High ho, high ho, it's off to work we go Making drugs and collecting what people owe All in a drug dealers day you know
'This school is a gold mine.' Gus thought as he shut the door to his car and headed for the main office building. All his previous history and credentials in his hands, hoping this job interview would be a success and he'd be able to not just teach, but sell. 'These students are easy targets. Rich and troubled.' he spotted several cars that cost way more than his little Camry, and several students standing about that wore things like Gucci or Chanel. He smiled at the prospect and opened the door for a fellow teacher who was just leaving the office. he couldn't help noting how hot she looked and immediately put the charm on her.
"Good morning, I'm here for an interview. Is this the right building?" he kept eye contact, his smile was a mixture of a smolder and a smirk. He already knew it was the right building, but acting a little stupid to maybe get in her pants was something he was okay with.
The teacher returned a smile of her own and he noticed a slight color to her cheeks.
'Bingo'
"Yeah, um, this is the office. Just head straight inside and speak with one of them." She turned and pointed to the receptionist desk. "Oh, my name is Blair by the way." She held out her hand for him and he shook it; not too firm that it would hurt her, but firm enough to leave a little pressure and when he let go, she'd feel like something was missing.
"Gus, it's very nice to meet you." He noted how she immediately took her hand back and rubbed it, just like he was hoping she would.
'Easy target'
"Thank you for your help, I hope I will see you again." he watched her cheeks flush a little darker before she mumbled the same and he made his way to the reception desk to check in.
It wasn't long before he was sitting before the Vice Principal, since the Principal was out of town for a convention or some shit. He didn't care, it might be easy to convince the Vice Principal to hire him, or it might be worst. The V.P was looking over his credentials, seeming to double check a few things and even writing other things down before he started asking questions.
"Impressive. You started out in a school with low grades in math and you seemed to have raise their scores dramatically in a year." Gus smiled and nodded his head. He wasn't going to mention how he actually got the students to even pass one class, which was to help them cheat. He needed to look amazing on paper to into a school like Tidewater.
"Alright Mr. Peterson." He put his hands together as he got ready to ask questions he was sure he had asked before. " Why do you want to teach here?" Gus hid the smirk of his behind a face that appeared to be thinking.
'Because rich troubled kids will buy drugs; my drugs.'
"Honestly, I want to challenge myself along with challenging my students. I want to be able to help grow young minds and help them achieve the future they desire." he leaned back slightly in his chair to appear more at ease, but still a bit serious. "And the pay increase isn't bad either." The VP Chuckled along with Gus, which he took as a good sign.
"Do you know how long you plan to stay with us?" Normally Gus would say two to three years to avoid detection, but he was greedy and would want this gold mine for more than three years. He could easily envision at least ten before he decided to retire, and still supple the students with his product as long as he could.
"I see myself being a permanent here. Becoming that old math teacher that all the students love and admire." he had said the lie to so many interviewers it was starting to become true in his mind, though he knew in the back of his mind it wasn't.
"You've left several schools before after only a couple of years. Care to explain?" Gus was ready for this question. He rehearsed his answer a hundred times.
"They weren't good fits to be honest. A lot of the teachers there started to despise my easy ability to get along with students and get their grades up without too much trouble." he shrugged his shoulders to act like it didn't bother him anymore. The lie was partially true; students easily trusted him and most girls fell for his devilish good looks. No one actually showed animosity towards him for it, however, but it could easily be fabricated.
They both sat there for a few seconds as they sized each other up.
"Well Mr. Peterson, I think I have everything I need," he paused and started gathering all of Gus's paperwork before standing up. "I'd like to welcome you aboard, when can you start?" he held his hand out to Gus, which of course Gus took and gave a good firm handshake. He felt like he'd been signed over the deed to a gold mine that he planned to mine for years and years to come. Images of money piling up in his savings was all he could see.
"I'm really excited to get started, and I can started tomorrow." Gus was already making plans on how to start selling his product, he'd only need to scout one or two students that could help deliver the goods a little easier.
Gold mines were rare these days, and Gus felt like he just hit the jackpot.
