He wants true love and a fairy tale, though admitting that to his friends has caused laughter and teasing, but he tries not to let it get to him. If a girl can have a happily ever after then why can't a guy? He wants to find the one, which makes him a bit critical. He wants to find the one and be married only once, just like his parents, so he isn't willing to settle. Workaholic- Being the owner of the bar that his Dad started has given him the pressure to keep it afloat. He often spends more time at the bar than at his own home. Him being at the bar at all times had made him get to know the locals, often making them feel at home in his bar, which is something his Dad did and he wants to carry on the tradition. Trusting- He puts the needs of others first. Working as a bartender he is often the listening ear for everyone's sorrows and tries to help with the best advice that he can. He tries not to get too involved and cause trouble, but working where he does makes him privy to a lot of gossip and he's seen and kept secrets for people of the town. Scattered- Though he is work oriented he sometimes can get overwhelmed and his thought process becomes scattered. he sometimes forget things or does things out of order. He tries to pause and take stock of what he's doing but when he's in this mind set he gets stuck and it takes a minute to calm down. Easy Going- He is a rather relaxed guy, letting life take its natural course. He tries to not over think things and portrays a happy and laid back personality. But I want that all in, fallin' Keep the fire burning like the first time feeling No matter what if I'm gonna love  I'm gonna love somebody like that Kinda heart open arms Says forever and will never ever take it back If I'm gonna love I'm gonna love somebody like that He is one of three and the middle child of doting parents. His father ran a rather successful bar in town with his mother often helping out. In his eyes they were perfect. His parents were always laughing and having fun and taking the kids on road trips when time permitted. His father was his idol and Dustin wanted to be just like him. As they grew up Dustin and his two brothers Tyler and Seth were like the three musketeers doing everything together though as they grew older they discovered their differences and went into their own endeavors. Tyler enlisted in the military while Seth enrolled in law school. Dustin saw his brothers doing great things although he didn't have any greater calling. He worked at the local grocery store and helped out at the bar once he got old enough. Thankfully his father was right there with him and teaching him how to run a business. Dustin learned all the ins and outs of the bar and loved to work with his Dad, they were both hands on and made the bar thrive. As time moved on both of Dustin's brothers got married and started their own families. Watching them find love and grow their families made Dustin feel longing. Sure he's dated around here and there but didn't have much luck in love. No one was the right one, either they didn't want the commitment or their personalities didn't match, though Dustin tries to not let that discourage him. While his brothers went on in their own careers their Dad decided to retire so he and his wife could travel. He gifted the bar to Dustin and then bought himself and his wife an rv and they hit the road, letting Dustin live in their now empty house. Though he has a roof over his head and a job Dustin feels like he didn't earn it, it was given to him, although his parents thank him every day for taking up the mantel and his brothers praise him for being a business man and keeping the family legacy alive. He does want to get his own home some day and possibly open another a business so he can make a real name for himself. I still remember mama walking down the living room stairs And daddy saying with a smile that's my girl right there  They had their share of ups and downs And I saw the best, and the worst, and the work and the worth it Family:

Welcome to Tidewater!
This is a sandbox style role play that is based in a Southern Californian named Ocean City.
This town is home to a prestigious high school and university that students from all over flock to. The school is home to the best teachers in the state and hosts an eclectic variety of students from all over the world. Students have the option to live on campus and in between classes on the weekend are able to roam the town. There is always some kind of event going on. In this role play you can role play high school students, teachers, college students, and the town residents! We encourage character development and being able to follow your character through different stages of life encourages that.
This town is on the water and offers many events for every season along with the schools offering their own events as well. There are many chances to foster positive relationships between characters but this is a slice of life so drama and enemies are bound to be made!
Also, don't think your secrets are safe because there are those who patrol the tides of gossip and report all the going ons in the town gossip blog. Here everyone’s dirty laundry is presented, it’s up to the characters to believe it and do whatever they want with it.
Our members are funny and brimming with sarcasm, we look forward to our new members so we can add to the student and staff populations while further growing our characters and challenging ourselves in our writing skills.
