Well, I wish I had some shoes on my two bare feet
And it's gettin' kinda cold in these painted-on cut-off jeans
I hate the way this bikini top chafes
Do I really have to wear it all day?

I hear you over there on your tailgate whistlin' in
Sayin', "Hey girl", but you know I ain't listenin'
'Cause I got a name, and to you it ain't
Pretty little thing, honey or baby
It's drivin' me red, red, red, red, red, red, redneck crazy
Reckless- She follows the first exciting thought in her mind. She doesn't think things through and likes to follow the thrills. She loves a challenge and quick rewards. She isn't one to play the waiting game or plan things out. If she wants to do something now she will do it without a second thought. This part of her personality has gotten her into some trouble and has left her with a lengthy hospital record of broken bones and scars and even a not so easy to hide tattoo.
Dedicated- She may run with the wind but when she is passionate about something, truly passionate, she is dedicated to it and won't give up. She is also dedicated to the people she is close to and will often make sacrifices for them so when that trust is broken she will "turn off" her emotions and cut them off as if they never held a part in her life at all. She deals in almost a nearly black and white fashion when it comes to relationships, which can cause her some trouble.
Tom Boy- She may dress girly sometimes and have her hair and make up done but don't let that make you think she's girls because she won't hesitate to get down and dirty. She is a hard worker and is always interested in what the boys are doing, which has lead her to more hands on classes where she can learn to build things and use her hands.
Independent- Though she will do everything for her friends Tally is independent. She likes to make her own decisions and hold fast to them without being swayed. Some may call her stubborn or bullish but she likes to say she's independent. Though she doesn't like being alone she isn't afraid to do things on her own and won't hesitate to follow her passions on her own.
Self Conscious- Deep down part of her looks in on herself and wonders if she is the kind of person other people would like if they didn't have to. She's always struggled with truly feeling accepted and worthy of love and sometimes she wonders why she is the way she is. She can see herself in other peoples eyes and she wonders if she is too rowdy or not girly enough to find love because deep down, she is a romantic and wants to find the person whose kiss will make her foot lift off the ground and make her feel like she's worthy.
Bein' the girl in a country song
How in the world did it go so wrong?
Like all we're good for is lookin' good for
You and your friends on the weekend, nothin' more
We used to get a little respect
Now we're lucky if we even get
To climb up in your truck, keep our mouth shut and ride along
In the beginning Tahlia was her momma's princess, like a lot of Southern girls her momma had entered her in pageants, which is where Tally met her first true friend, Jolene. Both girls goofed around between events and rarely got competitive. They chose to have fun rather than be serious about it all like their momma's though unlike Jolene, once Tally hit the age of ten and lost interest in parading around like a doll her momma listened to her, though it was hard not to. When Tally doesn't like something se will do everything in her power not to do it. She acted out big time until her momma finally gave in and let her pull out of the pageant world to look into other hobbies and even though it vexed her, her mom let her go on hunting and fishing trips with her dad and when not doing that she was exploring the forest and taking backwoods trails on four wheelers or out riding horses, and even dabbling in competing in rodeos-though she isn't too serious about it, she just likes the thrill. Even though they no longer competed together she and Jolene maintained their friendship and eventually the duo became a trio, running around and having fun and as they got older they grew and learned how to be girly, though they always had those moments of running off into the mud and getting dirty.
Though she dresses nice now Tally is still a country girl who has no hesitation to act like a boy and get down and dirty. She loves the country and all the opportunities that she has there to run wild and she loved every moment with her friends. She would do anything for them, getting in fights to defend them and denying her own feelings for boys to maintain the sacred "Girl Code". She's a self sacrificing individual who kept a smile on her face, even when her friends ended up leaving her. First it was Jolene who left with her brother to go to the boarding school in California, leaving her and Harley behind, which was fine but she still missed Jolene like crazy. She and Harley were close yes but after Jolene left they started to drift apart, their differences showing without Jolene gluing them together and it was like they were friends because they had to be while Jolene updated them on what was happening in California. Tally wished she could be there for Jolene but she couldn't bear the idea of being away from her parents and the lift she knew, she was afraid and then...Harley left and Tally was completely alone.
Without her friends by her side she felt more alone than ever and started to shut down. She just wanted to get through school, she wasn't interested in going through the motions of making new friends so she pushed through. Eventually she did make some friends, though she started to get in a little bit of trouble, getting suspended for getting in fights or getting detention for always being late but she didn't really care, even when her parents yelled and threatened her with detention, she didn't care, it wasn't like she had anything going on to look forward to...until Jolene gave her an update that sent a fire coursing through her. Learning that Harley had violated girl code and hurt Jolene by taking Reed Tally was infuriated that she couldn't be there for her best friend so she did the next logical thing: she got in more fights until she got expelled. Her parents didn't know what to do until she implanted them of the thought of Tidewater, though of course she made sure the emphasize how terrible it was and strict and her parents fell for it and off she went. Tally isn't sure exactly what she is doing all she knows is that she has to be there for her friend and maybe get some revenge along the way.
And be the girl in a country song
Well, shakin' my moneymaker ain't ever made me a dime
And there ain't no sugar for you in this shaker of mine
Tell me one more time you gotta get you some of that
Sure I'll slide on over, but you're gonna get slapped,
These days it ain't easy being that...
